Fixing First Assault Stutter/Lag Issues [Guide] [HD]
I've had a similar issue when running another game and fixed it by changing the game directory location from a secondary HDD into the operative system's SSD. If you are experiencing this issue with First Assault I recommend going through the following steps: 1. If you are running the game from Steam and you have the Steam games directory on a secondary SSD or HDD, try deleting, installing it on the main SSD and then loading it from there. 2. Use Combofix http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/combofix/ (Windows 7,8) or FRST http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/farbar-recovery-scan-tool/ (Windows 10) to scan and clean your system from malware and unused registry keys. 3. Disable any VOIP programs you might be running before launching the game. If the issue still happens try disabling your audio devices one by one.
