Lidar is certainly one of the features that separates the new iPhone 12 Pro's apart from the rest of the iPhone 12 line up. A few things I noticed right away when it comes to benefits of Lidar are the instant rendering of AR objects. It is impressive how quickly lidar allows an object to be cast in AR and also how accurately the objects are measured.
