Remembering Dawn Wells (October 18, 1938 - December 30, 2020)

Remembering Dawn Wells today and keeping her in our thoughts and prayers. May she be singing a beautiful song in heaven now with the angels. This video clip is presented here on YouTube for the entertainment and informational value of the viewer, and no copyright infringement is intended. This clip is a short closing segment from the DVD (Fox Studios and Artisan Entertainment) of 'Surviving Gilligan's Island', which was the 2001-2002 season's most successful television movie. The video clip was one of several home movies that Dawn had taken on the Gilligan's Island set during that third and final season of the 1966-1967 television season. These home movies were included in Dawn's Surviving Gilligan's Island TV Movie of October, 2001. Dawn was executive producer of that TV movie, 'Surviving Gilligan's Island', and it told the story of the making of Gilligan's Island, as seen from the eyes of a young actress playing the role of Mary Ann Summer. The movie also described the interaction off-camera of the seven castaways and their lives over the many years together and apart. Dawn was justifiably very proud of the project that created this TV movie. She proceeded to produce a follow-up television movie on the Batman TV-series, starring Adam West and Burt Ward, and gave her a taste of being a television movie producer at the turn of the 21st century. A remarkable lady who was a hard working actress over many decades in theater, television and feature film. She was a producer and writer of two best selling books. She started her own business in designing and manufacturing medical gowns for the elderly, and was a popular teacher, training the next generation of actors at her boot camp and at various colleges, including Stephens College, her alma mater. Not many people come along in life who can be a positive impact on so many lives over the course of their own life. Dawn Wells was one of those unique, special people. We were all very lucky to have had an opportunity to witness that life and career during the course of our own lives these many years. Thank you Dawn. We miss you.
