Joybox Series 04 - April 5, 2010 - Tekken 6 Bloodline Rebellion
During my trip to Japan, I was able to stop by Joybox in Shinjuku for some Tekken against JP players. I wasn't that good back then, and some of the characters they played are not used back at home (in Michigan), but I did my best. It was a great learning experience - very sad that Joybox is gone (as are most arcades these days). Joybox was a "smoking allowed" arcade - it was hard to stay in their too long without having issues seeing or breathing (we are spoiled here in the US with smoke-free environments). The audience that play varies from highschool punks to business-class workers (in their suits). I love the variety and I love the shit talk (if only I understood what they were saying...). My girlfriend and her best friend were with me while I was playing. Shoutouts to them for their patience and for filming some matches for me! It was a great trip overall and I hope that one day, I will be able to return.
