President spoke about growth of prices on corn 21.02.11 Georgian president Mikheil Saakashvili arrived in the village of Etseri in the Imereti region and met with local population today. President spoke about the growth of prices on corn products globally which has been reflected on Georgian market too and said the only effective way to eradicate the problem of product prices was the development of local industry in the country. Saakashvili visited the family of Aleksandre Tabidze and spoke about the situation in the agriculture sector of the country. He said the hybrid species of maize would be distributed to Georgian population from March 2011. 'We have very serious resource in the agriculture sector. Georgia has a capability for creating an effective agricultural-industrial complex. We should work for ourselves, otherwise we will be always depended on other countries,' Saakashvili said.
