Dazzle DV100 / AMCap / Camtasia Studio - comparison TEST - MGS4
To see the difference, watch in 720p. Comparison of edited and unedited version of some footage taken by Camtasia from AMCap. How did I get rid of scanlines? Read more... First I connected Dazzle DV100 with S-Video cable so I could see PS3 screen on my laptop (Turion X2 - 2 GHz, 2 GB RAM). I downloaded free AMCap here http://www.megaupload.com/?d=J9YVEXLX and opened it. Set input to S-Video and resolution on 720x572. Then I started Camtasia Studio/Record desktop/Set the area I wanted to record (AMCap screen) and started to record. After it finished I saved the file. Then I took that file and opened it with VirtualDub (You can download it for free here http://sourceforge.net/projects/virtualdub/files/virtualdub-win/1.9.11.32842/VirtualDub-1.9.11.zip/download ). There I added in Video/Filters "deinterlace" filter so it got rid of most of the scanlines. And I saved this file as .AVI and that's it. This final comparison video was made in Sony Vegas 8.0. My laptop specification are: CPU: AMD Turion X2 TL-60 2GHz GPU: ATI Radeon HD Mobility 2600 RAM: 2GB See? Not much a great laptop, but still it can record very well while playing on the screen at the same time.
