Orion Spacecraft Water Drop Test, 25 August 2016
NASA's Orion Spacecraft underwent the ninth water drop test at the Hydro Impact Basin at NASA’s Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia, on 25 August 2016. The test was designed to simulate a case where one of the Orion capsule’s three main parachutes fails to deploy. The final test, in a series of 10 water landing tests, it’s scheduled for mid-September. Credit: NASA
