GTX 980Ti vs. God of War | FSR 2.0
Testing the new FidelityFX Super Resolution 2.0 AKA FSR 2.0 in God of War using the nVidia Geforce GTX 980 Ti. FSR 2.0 is AMD's open source attempt to take on nVidia's proprietary DLSS upscaling with their own temporal upscaling algorithm, and in these early days it has yet to make it to more than a couple of games. As of last week, Sony have implemented it on their first party AAA title, God of War, replacing its previous FSR 1.0 slider. Compared to FSR 1, version 2 is more demanding on the GPU, and AMD have recommended it be used with no less than a GTX 1070 or RX 590. According to TechPowerUp, the GTX980Ti is about 10% slower than the minimum 1070 and has 2GB less VRAM. Does this mean the 980Ti won't scale well when using FSR 2.0?
