It took a while for the words to come, and they are influenced by the Book of Psalms, particularly Psalm 42:7, which contains the line: 'Deep calls unto deep.' It is also a partial reminiscence of when I was starting out on the guitar as a 16 year old. I had ambitions about starting a punk band, and ended up playing guitar in a church choir. I credit that experience in helping me to develop as a musician, and I look back upon that time with great fondness and gratitude.
