STAGED: Three Deuces Activation with Derrick Hodge, Adam Deitch & Annastezhaa Mitchell-Curtis

"STAGED: Three Deuces" is an installation by artist and world-renowned jazz musician Jason Moran. The work takes its name from a legendary jazz club in New York, once located in a basement on 52nd Street. Once a month, the space is activated with renowned jazz musicians performing on classic instruments. For the run of his exhibition at MCA Denver, Moran has invited musicians for a series of performances in the installation that highlight the jazz community of this region. The October performance featured Derrick Hodge on upright bass, electric bass, and piano; Adam Deitch on drums; and Annastezhaa Mitchell-Curtis on harp.
