4 Mods to improve Skyrim's combat on Xbox
In this video of my little weekly mods showcase I'm showcasing 4 mods to improve Skyrim's combat on Xbox! All the mods are linked in description and need to be installed in the same order I'll show them. If you want mods that cover more areas of Skyrim like its graphics you can check out the previous episodes here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tMwGtJrtdhA&list=PLG4mAQZ7kwPzwaz2FBaJs9LiY8qGdyzSu The foundation mod to improve Skyrim's combat is “Smilodon – Combat of Skyrim” (https://bethesda.net/it/mods/skyrim/mod-detail/3093882). Once you have loaded your character be sure to manage the settings of this mod through the dedicated spell in your powers, be sure to set everything as you prefer the most according to your character, difficulty and desires! The goal of Smilodon is to make combat more immersive by improving the AI's behavior so that NPCs will really try their very best to win, new mechanics such as timed blocks will also be used by the AI, combat is more dangerous and engaging, the mod modifies the consumptions and recharge speed of Magicka and Stamina, both the player and NPCs deal more damage than vanilla Skyrim and enemy mages will now use the correct amount of Magicka to cast their spells. It is now time for “Mortal Enemies SE” (https://bethesda.net/it/mods/skyrim/mod-detail/4041268). This Skyrim mod will make each hit of NPCs swords, axes and maces much more meaningful, because now they are no longer aim bots like in Vanilla Skyrim. Basically, Mortal Enemies tunes both the turn rate for every creature in game to avoid them being aim bots, and better matches the area NPCs hit with the animations of their attacks. On top of this one handed and two handed combat, along with stamina costs for light and heavy attacks and movement speed while blocking have been better balanced for a more immersive experience. “Search And Destroy – Extended Combat Range And Stealth Searches” (https://bethesda.net/it/mods/skyrim/mod-detail/3006518) makes so that when enemies engage you in combat will hunt you down for bigger distances if you start escaping, and they will also search for you for longer time if you're sneaking in the shadows. In this way their behavior is much more realistic and immersive than Vanilla Skyrim, in which it's pretty easy to get out of bad situations. You might have seen me doing it on screen already a billion times, so it's the time to talk about it! “The Ultimate Dodge Mod” (https://bethesda.net/it/mods/skyrim/mod-detail/4011038) includes the possibility for the player and NPCs to perform dodges. Be sure to follow the instructions in the mod's description to make it work, what I did, was first setting up everything as I pleased through the new spell in my alteration magic menu, and then since you need to crouch and use the left stick to direct the dodges I needed to move the crouch action to a button different from the analog sticks, in my case I picked the left bumper and it worked like a charm! Dodging with this mod is very cool and adds this new layer to the combat of Skyrim, which is very welcomed since we've been playing this game for a little more than 9 years at this point. I've not been able to see any NPC dodge yet, but through the settings of the spell we discussed before you can also tweak the frequency of NPCs dodges, oh, and if you need to uninstall this mod be sure to carefully follow the instructions in its description! #SkyrimMods #Xbox #Combat Intro 00:00 Complete combat overhaul 00:36 More combat immersion 01:23 Mod for realistic behavior 01:58 Ultimate Skyrim combat mod (Dodging) 02:24 Bye bye 03:24 Twitter: https://twitter.com/HiddenOdd Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/user/HiddenOddBox Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/hiddenoddbox/
