Lowboys (dressing table) were used as vanities are used today, to put on make up, hair products etc. with either a wall mirror (looking glass) or table top mirror with drawers. Period lowboys are in high demand and are getting harder to find. Eighteenth century Americana prices are still depressed, but showing signs of recovering. Auction prices and demand are increasing for this type of collecting.
