 Let the world be weaved through uniform skills  Countries development is fueled by Skilled Workforce  India aims to reduce the emissions intensity of its GDP by 33-35% by 2030 from 2005 levels, and achieve 40% of its cumulative electric power of around 350GW installed capacity from non-fossil fuel-based energy resources  India has also committed to achieve 175GW of RE Installation by year 2022 (at RE Invest in February, 2015 before going to COP 21 held from 30th Nov, ’15 – 12th Dec, ’15)  In short span of three years India’s solar capacity has increased by 370% (2.6GW to more than 12.2GW)  This has given a unique employment opportunities in Renewable Energy sector  SCGJ was launched in October 2015 by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship to supplement the Skill India for the purpose of developing standard competencies/skills in the domain of renewable energy, sustainable development and waste management  The primary objective of the council is to o Identify Skill Gap (Research) o Develop National Occupational Standards o Quality Assurance  In solar sector, SCGJ has developed National Occupational Standards for solar irrigation pumps, solar street lights, solar lighting system, solar rooftops system, solar ground mount system as per ISA’s major focus areas  In short span of three years SCGJ has also trained and certified 50,000+ Skilled workforce in various RE sector PAN India  To deliver quality training in RE sector PAN India, SCGJ’s major emphasis has been on training of trainers  SCGJ is looking forward to learn from the experiences of ISA countries to provide skills enabling energy access, even to the remotest household of India. #Solar #solarPV #RooftopSolar #Renewable #Sun #CapacityBuilding #Training #SkillIndia #NSDC #SCGJ #Suryamitra #SigmaSummit #SustainableDevelopment #International #Summit #Workforce #Technician #learnings #Skills #Technical #India #Africa #Russia
