With help from the CIA, Auroa's borders finally opened up to the world. Nomad, Midas, and Holt, and the remaining Ghosts were exfiltrated, bringing the Ghosts' mission on Auroa to an official close. The US army was set to take the reins on island-wide proceedings. But, 3 months later, Aurora became the primary target of the top powerful countries of the world seeking the technology left behind. Among those are the Ghosts' previous adversaries, the Bodark, who have sided with Sentinel and the remaining Wolves to take control of the islands. The CIA therefore launched Operation Motherland led by Case Officer Karen Bowman who was reinstated recently, to make the archipelago to a sovereign nation governed by the Outcasts, led by Haruhi Ito.
