November: Planting garlic / prepare garlic bed with BIOCHAR / planting small cloves for green garli

Lots of jobs to be done in the garden before winter, frost and snow. I planted the softneck garlic 16 October in a pallet collar. I bought the softneck garlic from a certified company, but the hardneck garlic seed is from my own harvest. Originally, my hardneck garlic was bred from bulbils some years ago. In this video I prepare the bed for my hardneck garlic with BIOCHAR and a layer of compost/leafmould on top. I have loaded the biochar with Bokashi juice and nettle tea a while before I spred it on the bed. You should never use the biochar dry. Comfrey tea is also top to load biochar with. Biochar is charcoal that is produced by pyrolysis of biomass in the absence of oxygen; it is used as a soil amendment. Biochar is a stable solid that is rich in carbon and can endure in soil for thousands of years. It may increase the soil fertility of acidic soils, increase agricultural productivity, and provide protection against some foliar and soil-borne diseases. Today 4 November it´s time to plant the hardneck garlic in the prepared bed. If you like this video 👍. Please subscribe and comment.
