Ken Colyer's Jazzmen - Home Sweet Home/Auf Wiederseh'n Sweetheart. (Live)
Taken from the Decca LP "Club Session With Colyer" LK 4178 Side 2 Track 5. Recorded London November 16th 1956. Ken Colyer trumpet, Mac Duncan trombone, Ian Wheeler clarinet, Johnny Bastable banjo, Ron Ward bass, Colin Bowden drums. When Ken died in 1988, this was one of the tracks that Humph played in a tribute on his radio show. I thought with the words it was a very fitting number, and I'm not ashamed to admit it brought a lump to my throat.
