'More Graded Saxophone Duets' (Grades 6+) by Keri Degg. Masquerade Music UK
Three delightful samples from our popular More Graded Saxophone Duets book (24 original saxophone duets in varying styles for grades 6+ by Keri Degg). The first sample is 'I Baroqued It' (grade 7 category) a pastiche on the Baroque style, so plenty of movement here and a great tester for technical agility. Desert scape is in the grade 6 section, and requires the players to envisage the shimmering effects coming off the sands by using timbral trills (actually very easy, and instructions are given). The final demonstration is of 'Clockwork Chuck' - a mechanical chicken that eventually malfunctions and explodes. We believe that imagination and creativity is crucial to good all round music making, so have fun with a partner seeing how far you can push this one!
