Let's Play: Doom 2 (Map19) - The Citadel
A playthrough of "The Citadel" (Map19) of Doom II: Hell on Earth for PC, played through GLBoom. 100% kills, 100% secrets (Max-Kill). A map with a self-explanatory title. It is as it says. A giant citadel fortress. Fortified in stone, metal, and hell, it's a complicated maze-like structure, filled with Demons, puzzles, and pure awesome. I like this map a lot. The complexity can throw the difficulty up a bit, but only needing 2 keys to exit makes it a bit easier, however the Red one is required to exit. The enemy selection isn't overwhelming, mostly being Specters or Demons, a few Cacodemons here and there, lots of Imps. If you don't know your way around it is very easy to get lost. Why do I like this map? Well, it resembles a castle in a way. Keep in mind, this is all packed into a Sandy Petersen map. No, really. I'm not joking. It has a lot of secrets to track down too, but what would you expect with a fortress like this? In conclusion: Have fun storming the castle!
