House Worx #45 (Pioneer DJ DJM-450 + CDJ-850 + USB Sticks)
OK before I start, I just need to explain this mix isn’t the tightest, some parts go a little off. The aim of these mixes has always been to log my mixes, use them to listen back to improve and share them with anybody who wants to listen. I have been DJing nearly 20 years, and mixing house for about 15, and I used to be OK at it, but as time has gone on I’ve gotten a little lazy and kind of mixed off the waveforms….. so this mix has all been done manually with just USB sticks to try and get back some of that manual beat mixing skill. As you know I have nothing against digital DJing, the sync button or riding the wave forms – but I wanted to do this for me and some of the manual loops went off a little. Anyway, getting on with it then, this months mix is the usual disco-house goodness, and remixes I’ve found either on ZipDJ or Beatport that I usually play in these mixes, the hint is in the name ‘House Worx’ ha! You can hear the music only versions, and other mixes over on my Mixcloud.
