Man vs. Nature, A Photographic Response to the Climate Crisis. Venue: TMRW Gallery, Keyes Art Mile, Rosebank, Johannesburg Building on the foundational aspects of theory and technical competency of the first two years of photographic study at Open Window, the third-year students are encouraged to find their own photographic voice. Work is divided between a conceptual approach in commercial photography and a parallel focus on pure personal work. In the second term, we introduce the photographer to gallery work and the importance of addressing a current topic with a personal approach. In 2022 we have chosen Man vs. Nature, a photographic response to the climate crisis, a contemporary issue that will only grow in their lives beyond study.
