I bought an iPad Air 4 for $399 from Walmart in March 2022
I was pretty bummed when my iPad air 5 turned out to be a dead on arrival on release day from Apple. As I was packing it up to send it back to Apple, I noticed a deal for a refurbished iPad Air 2020 model from Walmart for $399! I pulled the trigger hoping that it will be in a like new condition. It was delivered to me after just 1 day by FedEx. I had a very specific use-case for purchasing this. My primary tablet is a 12.9" iPad Pro 5th Gen and my primary consumption device is a iPad mini 6 which goes to bed with me every night. I am also slowly eliminating paper from my daily reading and writing activities and needed a secondary tablet for this purpose. So, that I can use one for reference when I am taking notes on the other one, for example. For my use-case, this is more than adequate as I will not miss the M1 chip or the camera from the latest model. The iPad from Walmart turned out to be a keeper as it was in like-new condition. it must have been a customer return as it was shipped from the Walmart Returns center.
