Acer H5360 projecting 100" image from 3.5 metres away
Sorry guys, forgot to check up on comments since posting this. To answer all your questions, can't comment on its 3D capabilities yet as don't have glasses or NVIDIA 3D Vision kit. I was in the market for a nice 720p capable projector at a good price point and this fit the bill in that respect alone. Re. rainbow effect. Only times I've noticed it is during the final scrolling credit scenes with pure black background. Even then I find it only minor and on occassion. Apart from that, image is crystal clear with beautiful colour reproduction right the way through all kinds of flicks. Not sure re. the firmare it's running. Haven't checked. The image is being displayed on a bare slightly off white concrete wall. I can only imagine how amazing it would look on a dedicated projector screen that optimizes its picture quality. I will also just say I am amazed at how bright this projector is. Even during the day time with the sun blaring into the room, it's more than watchable - still vibrant, clear and sharp. Video was a 1080p resolution MKV (compressed Blu-ray). With the source being an Acer laptop with HDMI-out to the projector's HDMI-in. Fantastic projector for the price - Have a Sanyo PLV-Z5 as well, much higher end unit that was 3 times the price. It's a better projector, but 3 times better? - Hell no. This thing bursts with value.
