Lumione DEMO Complete Playthrough (Review in Description)

Play the DEMO here and add to your wishlist ASAP: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1339860/Lumione/ Lumione's Website: https://lumione.games.wanmei.com/en/index.html Game was made by Perfect World Games Singapore Pte Ltd This was a 95% blind first play-through of the DEMO. I had done the first platform area and decided to record my play-through but outside of that, this was completely blind. Made a lot of cuts so you didn't have to watch 18 extra minutes of me dying from being dumb. Total death count of the uncut footage was 86. My Personal Review of the Lumione DEMO: For being a WIP game, this was a lot of fun. The puzzles and platforming were challenging, especially in the second half of the DEMO. The learning curve will be steep for newer/more casual players of the platforming genre, but I'm honestly all for it. There is not much story yet, but I fully expected that going into this. Honestly I got more than I was expecting. Would be neat if some form of combat was added, however this doesn't deter from this already great looking game. If it came out as just a platformer and nothing else, it will still be a blast to play. Pros: - Platforming is very tight even for early levels. This makes completing the areas very satisfying. - Music and Art presentation are wonderful. They feel almost inspired from games like Ori (The greenish orb that gives you your dash also reminds me of Sein). - The platforming is reminiscent of Celeste. A bit slower but there are some similar concepts. My only complaints: - The momentum can get a bit off when transferring between rooms. This mainly happens when a room is above the one you're currently in. You tend to get an extra boost when the transfer to the above room completes which can throw you off. - Music cuts are a bit sharp between chapters and cut scenes. Could benefit from a fade out in audio between these moments so its not a jarring stop in music. These are things that I'm sure will be ironed out as the game completes its development so I'm honestly not worried. I give this DEMO a 9/10. Can't wait for the full game to release.
