MacBook Pro Retina (MBPr) running 8 external displays on one Thunderbolt connection

With two eGPUs (1. GTX 970 ; 2. GTX980Ti) I was able to run 7 displays (one of them connected two times to be recognized two times = 8 external displays for OSX). All on one TB port! eGPUs running daisy chained.
