Flying Airplanes In Far Cry 5 - For Keyboard & Mouse
This is essentially a tutorial on flying airplanes in Far Cry 5 using the keyboard and mouse specifically. Though there is good information for either controller or keyboard. The video is jammed with information so you may need to freeze it, or replay sections to answer your questions. It covers basic flight, easy turns, hard turns, landing on water, emergency landing on land, throttle management, and combat maneuvering. Several strafing attacks are demonstrated and two air to air dogfights take place. NOTE: A user found a typo in the video. Use Space for Accelerate or increase throttle - not Shift as the video says near the beginning. Thank you Ark Zeneke for finding the typo! For ground attack and general getting around consider the high wing aircraft. They have great visibility to the side and downward which is useful in lining up passes. For dog fighting I personally prefer the low wing airplanes. It is easier to keep the enemy in sight without wings in the way. You may want to look up the air combat maneuvering terms like Chandelle, Scissors, Loop and Barrel Roll either before or after viewing. If you are having trouble flying airplanes with keyboard and mouse this video should help you. It should help you significantly if you combine the knowledge with practice. There is a bit of symbology we need to cover. If I show a key without any brackets, like X , that means to TAP the key. If I show a key with brackets, like [X], that means to HOLD the key press for a period of time. How much time will depend on the situation.
