Fallout New Vegas and the Post Post-apocalypse
When I first played Fallout New Vegas, I didn't like it. I thought setting a post-apocalyptic game in a desert was a boring choice. But Fallout New Vegas wasn't trying to wow us with its rendering of a perfectly destroyed world or constantly remind us we were in a post-apocalypse. It wanted us to feel like this world was our home, a place in which we lived and worked. To that end, it did it perfectly.
