16GB RAM on a Macbook pro 13" Mid 2010 El Capitan
So it totally worked! I'm sorry that the video isn't so great.. But you live and you learn. ^^ So what you should check before doing this: Macbook Pro 13" Model number 7,1 RAM not running any higher than 1066MHz I rendered this video and a longer vlog after installing the RAM and it went a lot faster than before. The fan also didn't throw a hissy fit like it usually does when dealing with a bigger workload.
