Flexible NFC Tag Implantation
This is a video of the implantation of a flexible NFC tag in the back of my right hand. The video has been edited for length. The actual process took just over 26 minutes from start to finish. The flexible NFC tags are identical in function to the more common NTAG216 glass tags. The larger antenna size increases the read range to more than an inch, compared to the several millimeter read range of an NFC glass tag. This particular tag is the "Flexible NFC Implant V2" from Cyberise.me (https://cyberise.me/42-flexible-nfc-implant-v2-beta.html). It features a PTFE inner coating and a silicone outer coating. Tools used were a large set of locking forceps (aka hemostats), a #15 disposable scalpel, a stainless steel surgical probe, nylon suture with a curved cutting needle, and a pair of needle-nosed pliers. The music in the video is from the incomparable Patient Zero. The first track is "Upgrade Me Deeper" from the album "Post-Industrial Revolution". The second track is "Child of the Machine" from the album "Artifice". You can find all of his music on his Bandcamp site at https://patientzero.bandcamp.com/. Do yourself a huge favor and buy his albums! Both tracks were used under the Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 3.0 license (http://http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/3.0/). Yes, I know about the typo but I'm not going to re-author the video just for one wrong character. :)
