This Sunday the sermon is from Psalm 91:1-16 – “A Sovereign Protector”. “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” -Psalm 91:2 In a world filled with challenges and dangers, God speaks comfort to His people through His Word. The one “who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.” This, of course, doesn’t exempt us from trials but it gives us encouragement when we pass through them. Jesus Christ partook of flesh and blood (Hebrews 2:14). He is the man Christ Jesus (1 Timothy 2:5). As God in human flesh, He is able to deliver all those who through fear of death were subject to lifelong slavery (Hebrews 2:15).
