Inauguration Programme - Postgraduate Programmes in Business Economics
The inauguration ceremony of the Postgraduate Programmes in Business Economics offered by the Department of Business Economics, Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce (FMSC), University of Sri Jayewardenepura (USJ) for the academic year 2021 was held on the 30th of March 2021. The ceremony was held in a hybrid mode at the Faculty Board Room of the FMSC with an attendance of around 50 participants under the accepted social regulations, while many more joined the session virtually via Zoom. The event was given further prominence by the participation of Prof. W.D. Lakshman, the Governor of Central Bank of Sri Lanka, as the keynote speaker. The guest speech of the ceremony was conducted by Mr. Murtaza Jafferjee, CEO, JB Securities Ltd. The ceremony was also graced by Senior Prof. Sampath Amaratunge, Senior Professor (Chair) of the Department of Business Economics, USJ and the Chairman of the University Grants Commission, Senior Prof. Sudantha Liyanage, Vice Chancellor of USJ, Prof. P.D. Nimal, Dean of FMSC, USJ. The inauguration ceremony was concluded with great appreciation coming from the students and the academia.
