2019 Honda Accord ANC feedback noise
I tried to record a video of this noise but when I played the video, the audio didn't capture the sound. I was able to hear the noise cancel the background noises but the actual sound didn't come through the recording as I expected. I downloaded an audio spectrum analyzer for my phone and picked up the frequency I was hearing. I suspect the Honda active noise canceling software is sending a 124 Hz and up to -11db feedback noise back through the cabin audio system. The noise primarily occurs between 52 mph and 57 mph and occasionally between 25 mph and 30 mph. I can make the noise stop by opening a window or turning off the HVAC. If I was to compare the noise to a familiar sound, it is very similar to the doppler effect when a motorcycle is approaching. The sound gets progressively louder and then suddenly stops as it passes by.
