JXD S7800B Review - The Android Gaming Tablet Done Right?

In this JXD S7800B Review we take a look at many aspects of this gaming tablet. The android gaming tablet is a very promising device but falls short thanks to a few stand out issues. Full review available here: http://sicktechstuff.com/jxd-s7800b-review/ The JXD S7800B works well for being a handheld game console, especially if your main focus is on emulation but still wanting the ability to do every day tablet functions. Our JXD S8700B review found the device was more then capable at running most demanding emulators, however its main undoing comes down to both its build quality and its default firmware. For an android gaming tablet the device features pretty decent hardware. Utilizing the Rockchip RK3188 the console has a quad core ARM-Cortex A9 processor that runs at 1.6Ghz per core. The screen is also surprisingly good for a cheap gaming device with it showing colors vibrantly and cleanly. We tested this handheld game console on a variety of emulators ranging from the Nintendo DS emulator Drastic to the PlayStation emulator FPSE with it being able to successfully run a variety of games without any performance degradation. Despite the device being quite a capable gaming tablet, it does suffer from build quality issues and firmware issues. While the outside of the device feels firm, the actual solder joins in the device appears to be weak, after a short drop the power button broke off the motherboard and effectively killing the device. While yes the dropping of the device was my fault, you would at the same time expect the device to be able to survive a few hits and bumps. The default firmware is abysmal but luckily there is replacements available that fix the majority of the problems with the firmware. While writing and recording my JXD S7800B Review I found the best replacement firmware to be one by a user on forum Dingoonity, Lujji which can be found through the link above or http://sicktechstuff.com
