Apple CarPlay Navigation in iOS 12 - Maps Comparison Waze - Pros Freq traffic updates Radar detection Speed limits Real time traffic updates from other drivers using waze - Cons No lane guidance Less businesss Not as good as Google assist or Siri assist equivalent Maps not visually easy to understand at a glance Apple Maps - Pros Best integration with contacts in your phone and and getting address information Lane guidance Visually the best and easiest to understand Siri assistnant - Cons Always chooses the route with tolls Doesn’t give real time traffic updates as a good as waze or google maps in terms of real time updates and won’t offer adjustments in advance intelligently A lot of local business not registered with Apple maps and sometimes outdated business address info. No Red Light Camera or Speed Camera warning. Google Maps - Pros If it’s on google maps you can ask google to get you there. Most comprehensive maps database Lane guidance Option for satellite view Option for avoid tolls and avoid highways Google assistant very easy to understand and accuracy is always very high - Cons Visually not as good IMO compared to Apple maps.
