Nicehash mining GTX 1050ti and GTX 750ti
I had a bunch of PC parts laying around after my recent upgrade so figured I would build a system running linux and set it to mining on Nicehash for kicks. My main system is a Ryzen 2600 running a GTX 1070 however not using this for mining (even though you will see mining software on my desktop, this was due to testing these old cards on this system until I transferred it over to Linux). The system is as follows: Ubuntu 18.04 Cuda libraries are 10.0. Nvidia drivers are 410.73 AMD FX-6300 cpu EVGA GTX 1050ti 4gb Zotac GTX 750ti 2gb 16gb ram 64gb Samsung Fit USB drive (storage) As you can see, this is not really profitable. Mainly educational and/or as a hobby. The best thing to do with this rig is mining new coins with low difficulty and save those coins just in case they grow in value. I do mine Ravencoin on a different pool (only tested on nicehash for educational purposes/tests for now). With both cards they make about 6 - 8 Ravencoins a day at current levels. Eventually I may swap out the 750ti for a 1060 but time will tell. Currently based on Nicehash, this current rig could earn about $0.32 a day. The highest I have seen it this week was $0.55 a day and assuming it's because of the roller coaster market that bitcoin/alt coins are in.
