The IBM PS/1 Model 2011, A Retro Computer First Look
The original IBM PS/1, Model 2011, featured an Intel 80286 CPU running at 9 MHz, either 512 KB or 1 MB of system ram and a builtin modem allowing customers to connect to Prodigy and Quantum of which IBM had a partnerships. Unlike many PCs of the time, the PS/1 Model 2011 had it’s power supply in the CRT monitor, making it almost impossible to use 3rd party monitors.
