Tech Short: Ryzen 1700 CPU Running on X570 Motherboard
Believe it or not, it does! Certain MSI x570 Motherboards appear to be working with 1st generation Ryzen CPUs, despite instructions to the contrary. Here we use a Ryzen 1700 CPU on the MSI X570 Gaming Edge Motherboard using one of the latest BIOS updates. While this appears to work on this, there is no guarantee it will work on all x570 motherboards. Good news is that this appears to work on many MSI x570 chipset based boards at this time.
