Assassin's Creed Jade – Race before the Server Shutdown [Closed Beta Test]
This video captures the very last moments of the closed beta test on August 11, 2023. Although I knew that it would be ending that day, I did not know at what hour and in which timezone the team would be basing the shutdown. My goal had been to complete every activity on the map before the test ended. If you look at the map, some activities actually reset, but I ultimately missed around 3 side missions in Southern Shangjun. 0:00 Travelling to Shangyan Village 4:05 Shangyan Village – Soaring Kite (missing) The kite was missing for some reason, and I wasn't sure if I had accidentally triggered its flight ahead of time. Reviewing the footage, it doe not appear it was ever there. 6:04 Shangyan Copper Mine – Assassin's Mark (Sima Hong) @8:40 you can see a convenient mechanic in Jade where you can air assassinate an enemy out-of-range by leaping at them first. Air assassinations may be performed at any time in mid-air. I missed the assassination button @8:47 for some reason on that standard-bearer. 11:40 The last artifact... that shall forever remain unidentified :') Jk! it's the Bronze Yan Short Sword, credits to Chinese language Assassin's Creed Wiki editor Zhao for identifying it. 14:40 East Ridge Watchtower – Liberate 29:00 Abandoned Watchtower – Viewpoint 31:47 Boar Den – Hunt 34:30 SERVER SHUTDOWN, end of the closed beta test @34:24 I was already suspicious when I saw a notification on the microphone icon to the left that I hadn't noticed before. I presumed it was for announcements. I was trying to check it, but the video player toolbar (invisible in the screen capture) was actually positioned right on top of it, and I was having trouble moving it away. I was about to try again @34:32 when at the exact moment, the server went down.
