Small Basses - Piezo Problem
There are seldom problems with Washburn Spectra 400 and Shadow SH 064 (they are glued inside), but China Clones often make trouble. But You can fix it easy... The cause is an uneaven surface or a spack of dust in/or under the piezo transducer... To do... Remove the transducer from the wooden bridge. Check the wooden Bridge. If Bridge OK but problem not solved then Open the transducer... Slide out the black endcaps and remove the saddle. Is the underside of the saddle dusty? Clean it! Is the underside of the saddle straight? No? Then grind it with sandpaper or file Now OK? If not OK then... Cut the 4 pieces of bridge with a saw Glue it with glue or double sided thin 0,2 mm gluetape directly on the silver foil over the 4 piezos. If you don't glue the pieces, the strings will hold them in place, but unfortunately you can also lose them! Problem solved? No? Buy a new Transducer (4 € on AliExpress)
