CLAIRE Rising Researchers Network I Lightning Talks I Carlos Gonzalez Diaz
In this talk for the ClAIRE R2Network, Carlos Gonzalez Diaz introduces his doctoral research. Carlos study how a designer-in-the-loop approach for interactive machine learning can support the creation of motion-control schemes in virtual reality (VR) videogames. There is little standard practice in VR game controls, and better supporting a design and development methodology can allow designers to focus on improving game feel and enjoyment. His thesis framework analyses the three main stages of creation in this area: (1) ideation, (2) implementation, and (3) evaluation. Watch the talk to learn more about the tool used for the implementation stage, InteractML (interactml.com) and how can game designers better incorporate movement in their VR creations. Lightning Talks The Lightning Talks series is organized by CLAIRE Rising Researchers Network; connecting young researchers in AI across Europe. In this series, our members present their research topics to showcase the wide variety of themes AI research entails.
