On June 7, a plane from AirIndia made an emergency landing in Magadan, a city in the far east of Russia. The passengers, mostly Indians, were stranded for several hours without any accommodation or food. Fortunately, the members of the Rotary Club of Magadan-Renaissance came to their rescue. They provided them with warm clothes, blankets, snacks, water and masks. They also helped them communicate, act as interpreters. The passengers were very grateful for their kindness and generosity.
