Okidata Pacemark 3410 9-pin Wide-Format Dot Matrix Printer
Originally recorded September 8, 2014. You've seen an early "consumer grade" dot matrix printer in my previous video "The Apple Dump!". This is a business grade wide-format printer. 9-pin, great for multi-part forms and rock-solid reliability. 9-pin printers usually have longer head life at the expense of print quality. Most of these type printers were likely used in their standard draft mode enabled by default, in order to print out reports or manifests. Oftentimes they'd also be used as "pick sheet" printers. A printer like this was almost never found in a home, as it was more geared for business, speed, and efficiency. The difference in speed with the printer compared to the Apple is amazing. I will say that even I was impressed with the speed of this printer, and I already have several business-grade dot matrix printers.
