The screen is also known as the digitizer and it is the part that detects pressure and touch for tablet usage. This is a device that I have fixed multiple times but that's what you get when kids have tablets. Anyway, it may seem very quick and simple but since it's been opened so many times that everything comes apart easily. Still it's always good to practice good procedures for every device no matter how new or old. Enjoy.
