Battlefield 3 beta footage -- Alienware M14x
As requested by pbObrane, here is some footage from a few different games of the Battlefield 3 beta. The visual settings defaulted to native res (1600 x 900), Ultra for textures, and Medium for most everything else. That's what I ran for this footage. I'm getting around mid-30s for framerates. It dips below 30 sometimes in the downtown part of the map, but usually in the low-40s in the subway. Taking everything down to Medium maybe gains one or two FPS increase, if that. Alienware M14X specs (no overclock) -- Intel Core i7 2630QM -- 8GB Dual Channel DDR3 at 1600MHz -- 3.0GB DDR3 NVIDIA GeForce GT 555M -- using the new 285.38 NVIDIA driver (no modded .inf needed!)
