Mosaic of Consumer Comments for Q2 2022 - Some companies seeing more of a slowdown then others.
Freaky discloses, at the time of publishing this video, he does have active positions in a few of the companies quickly talked about. However, he may buy or sell into this position at any time after publishing. Due to the shift in questions in Q2 2022 from inflation (Q1) to recession (Q2); Freaky decided to share a rough Mosaic of the quarterly comments so far. While this video is more unusual he believes you may find the little blurb about various different companies in various different industries hopefully enlightening. Freaky believes that the primary shift so far has been on the lower income consumer, especially on the goods side. Specifically eCommerce. The main areas of slowdown have been on companies pulling back marketing and consumer spending less on goods, but spending more on travel and experiences and in general things that generate memories. The banks stating consumers are spending more than income rising lends itself to the use of credit cards which has increased lately. The inflation bridge is partially also being born by wages increasing. Freaky thinks the delta between price inflation and wage inflation is being plugged by credit. The shift in spending from goods to experiences/memories appears well underway and freaky is hoping fear in the market will continue to provide decent opportunities to pick up amazing companies during a fed induced slowdown. ?DISCLAIMER?
