Adam plays the new alpha Crysis 1 VR mod...and here's how you can get it!
***Link at the very bottom*** This one fell in my lap this morning and I had a whole other video planned to do but a Crysis VR mod goes straight to the front of the line! This one is brought to us by the lead dev for Half-Life 2 VR Holger Frydrych fresh off of the HL2 VR: Episode 2 release days ago to shock the VR world with a VR mod for the game that for a good several years was the game that defined a good or bad gaming computer by how well this game ran on it. This is an early alpha build that is functional for the entire game but it has no motion controls at this time. I suspect that will be corrected pretty soon. I honestly didn't know how well an alpha version of a Crysis mod would run on my PC but on ultra settings the game ran fine with my 3070 Ti and Ryzen 9 3900x with no noticeable performance problems. I can't wait for this one to get motion controller support and I'm hopeful for VR mods for the Crysis sequels! Installation is as simple as double-clicking the exe file which you find on the right side of the github page under "releases" and pointing it where your Crysis installation folder is. You can right-click on the game in Steam and go down to "manage" and "browse local files" and it'll open the folder where your Crysis installation folder is. Where to find the mod: https://github.com/fholger/crysis_vrmod ***This mod is for the original Crysis not the remastered version. I don't know what will happen if you attempt to run it on the remastered version but it will likely not work.***
