Nokia Lumia 800 Review Nokia is putting a lot on the line with the release of the Lumia 800. Running Windows Phone 7.5, the device is something Nokia's CEO Stephen Elop hopes will revive the company's reputation as one of the top phone manufacturers in the world. Now that it's here, is it a step in the right direction? On the hardware front, we are huge fans of the Lumia 800 design. It's sophisticated, sleek and the materials feel fantastic. Nokia's legendary design sense definitely shines through to make one very attractive device. Internally, the Lumia 800 comes equipped with a 3.7-inch WVGA AMOLED ClearBlack display, 8-megapixel camera capable of 720p HD video recording, 1.4GHz single-core processor, 512MB RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Unfortunately, there's is no front-facing cam, so that is something to keep in mind. It's unfortunate that Windows Phone OS doesn't receive the attention it deserves. We're huge fans of Mango, especially the way it handles multitasking through what Microsoft calls Tombstoning (watch the video to see it in action). The OS designmakes for a very elegant, sophisticated user experience that is very snappy even despite the device's specs . In addition, Nokia has added a few custom applications to the Lumia 800 that helps differentiate it from other Windows Phone devices, including Drive and Nokia Maps.
