NVIDIA ShadowPlay Beta Test. Borderlands 2: McNally v. Bandit Truck.
Nvidia's latest driver update came out with a little feature for GTX 600 cards and later. ShadowPlay takes advantage of the H.264 hardware encoder to record gameplay without any visual hiccups. It can record on demand by pressing alt+f9, or it can save up to the last 10 minutes of gameplay by pressing alt+f10. Currently, it only allows for capturing game footage at 1080p at 60 frames per second. Overall, I'm very impressed with the footage that comes out of this and that this all can happen without any noticeable performance hits. Stuff like this should hopefully get more people into the game capturing scene, as Sony and Microsoft are trying to do with their next-gen consoles. I hope that they add more options to this feature when it leaves beta, such as the option to record at different resolutions and frame rates and implement some sort of Twitch integration. I also recommend using some video editing software rather than uploading the raw file straight to Youtube because that can take a long time. What's more exciting is seeing whether or not I can kill this bandit with only the wheels of this truck.
