Cromtech 2400w Generator
Cromtech 4 stroke 2400w Generator test. Max load 2400w - Max continuous load 2100w. Test 1) 230v 15A load test @ 2000w kettle. Test 2) 5v 2A USB TEST with 1A strip light. Test 3) 12v 8A load test with 100w camping oven. 12v + 100w x 8.3A Max load. However actual tested voltage from unit is 14v - 14.7v which drops amps @ 100w to around 7amps Also note: Generator is very quiet at idle, factory claim is 58db @ 7m, in an open area it would be barely audible at 10m at idle. When under full load, noise does increase slightly and would be heard at 10 to 15m away but still, you could have a conversation without issues. Generator care: Generator comes with no oil or fuel, it stipulates on the side no less than 93 octane (Min 95ron in Australia to meet desired output) and 15w40 oil. (I personally used 10w40 which will allow for better lubrication when cold in winter. *TO GET THE MOST FROM THIS OR ANY* GENERATOR, RUN THE ENGINE AT FULL LOAD AT LEAST ONCE EVERY 24HRS OF USE TO KEEP EXHAUST CLEAN OF CARBON BUILD UP, IDLING OR LOW POWER CONTINUOUSLY CAN CAUSE PROBLEMS, THEY ARE BUILT TO PRODUCE A SET WATTAGE AND NEED TO BE RUN AT THAT OUTPUT WHEN POSSIBLE. ALSO CHANGE OIL EVERY 168HRS (7 continuous days) OR EVERY 6 MONTHS, AND SPARK PLUG ONCE EVERY 12 MONTHS. My previous generator is 7 years old and still runs today, often for up to 7 days straight, but is very well looked after. Don't forget those few things and yours will last for years also. Questions or requests welcome.
