This is This War Of Mine brought to us by 11 Bit Studios. In this episode I dive right into my first experience ever with This War Of Mine. Having never played this game before I come to grips quickly in the first day how simple decisions can go a long way to impacting what you get to do such as sleeping, or eating. ========================================== This War Of Mine is a game about the consequences of war. One of the quotes the game uses a lot is "In war, not everyone is a soldier." So this game focuses on the civilians that struggle to survive day to day in a war-torn city. In typical survival game fashion the basic needs such as food, water, medicine, and fuel are your main goals, to keep everyone in alive as much as possible, but it's also more than that. There are times where you have to decide, what is good and bad? Is it worth living at the cost we must pay such as hurting others, or abandoning the sick. These challenges and struggles are very real and the game does a good job of portraying them respectfully. You manage over a group of people at a "safe house" and must see to them every day as you wait for the conflict to end (when that is no one knows...) So this game will present strategic and moral dilemmas as you live the life of a few random civilians against all odds. Hiding out during the day for fear of snipers and sneaking off at night for supplies. In this game survival at all costs and juggling supplies and time management are the key game mechanics.
