[Area-61]-Gem Plays: Half-Life 2 - Complete Exploration - [Cinema-View]
[It seems if you stand your ground, fire and don't advance much (this is a common way of clearing out enemies in an area before meeting more of them and thus decreasing your health more but in this case it's the opposite of what you must do lol), you won't make progress in the game because your health and bullets will decrease while the enemies seem to be respawning. But if you are advancing, your allies will respawn as well to help you so what you have to do here is advance. Lastly there is a correct procedure as to dealing with the last part; which is you are supposed to take out the first soldier across from you *first* then the 2 soldiers from the opposite side *second* as you emerge from the hole filled with debris and then tackle the Strider *third* but only after first *dashing* towards the rocket crate, quickly getting your ammo fill then retreating back to the safety of your hole lol to commence and resume the attack from *there*. Otherwise you'll take damage from all 3 sides and you'll have a hard time.] This is a legendary game which I played a few times in my life, and this here I think will be for the final time. I will not go into its details too much because it's pretty well known, but for the newcomers I will say that it's definitely worth playing and exploring or watching me fully explore it here hehe It is a very approachable, pretty easy to pick up, very fun and interesting game that stood the test of time - at almost 20 years old it's still a great game which still looks modern surprisingly, so nothing is really lost. The game is a gem and inducted in the Hall of Fame, among other classics. It plays great and it's very enjoyable to play :) Review-wise for me, this game earns 11/10 gems for being stellar, but not 12 (beyond stellar) because it's still a pretty restrictive linear game. But in 2004 I don't think they could've known all that or predicted that it could be made further into that too, but imagine if, right? If you could go into those buildings, explore the backgrounds more and just have more open ended areas, it would've been awesome (but that's what Stalker offers, released the same year :). Still it was a huge out-door escape from the end of corridor-shooters era with the capitalization of the epic game of DOOM 3 from id Software, which this game succeeded both in popularity and wide-appeal. I mean the way it gripped the [gaming] world was unseen and unsurpassed by any other game (yet). #Halflife #2022 #Play
